What is your inner voice saying to you?
I sing a song called "Long time to be a Man" the story of a young man who dreams of being a singer, a person to bring joy to others through the sharing of music. One day the young man’’s father whom he really respects, has a conversation that the young man will remember for the rest of his life....
The father tells the young man that he really isn’’t a very good singer, not up to professional standards and he should come up with some other line of work if he wishes to make anything of himself. Obviously the young man is crushed. How do you think that young man feels every time he recalls the conversation that the father probably didn’’t remember 5 minutes after it had taken place?
It planted the seeds of self doubt and the voice started. Did he become a singer? Yes but self doubt kept him from really reaching the top. It took a long time for him to find the Inner Champion.
Change your life one choice at a time. What choice do you start with? It doesn’’t matter. Start anywhere with any choice. Do something different.
Don’’t break your own spirit.
Show compassion for yourself.
Harness the energy of your inner critic and turn it to positive.
Give yourself permission to succeed.
Teach your inner champion this sentence: "No matter what happens, I still believe in you."
