Steve Rae

Radio Station owner, Wizard of Ads partner, husband to Carolyn and father to Kelsey & Graham. Folk Singer

Steve Rae is President and General Manager of Raedio Inc. which owns and operates CJCS Radio
and 107.7 MIX FM. He has lived in Stratford and worked at the radio station for twenty one
years and along with his wife Carolyn, has owned Raedio Inc. for seven years. Steve is an active
participant in the Stratford community. He is incoming President of the Stratford Rotary Club, is
Show co-ordinator for the annual Stratford Spring Home Show and is a recent appointee to the
Board of Governors for the Stratford Festival of Canada. He is known for his auctioning skills as
auctioneer at many charity events, is a past President of the Stratford Friends of the Festival, was
a founder of Stratford Community Players and has been honourary chairperson of the MS
Supercities walk. In 2002 he was presented the “Personal Achievement Award” at the Business
Excellence Awards by the Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce. Steve is a partner in the
Wizard of Ads group, an advertising consulting company in Austin Texas, and teaches Principles
of Advertising at seminars throughout the U.S. and Canada. Steve was a contributing author in
“Accidental Magic” published by Bard Press and has just finished his first book entitled
“Exercising Your Imagination, Turning Dreams into Reality” which is published by Wizard
Academy Press and was released in November 2003. He is also an accomplished singer,
songwriter and performs with his band Muskoka Boathouse.
